Concrete Patio in Schaumburg, IL
Schaumburg is one of the busiest towns on our patio schedule, and Weathersfield is the reason. Those 1960s lots are deep, and the original small pads off the back door are sixty years old and cracked, so owners replacing them go substantially larger. North of Golf Road the work is more often stamped or colored, or an extension of an existing slab.

Schaumburg specifics
The village requires a permit for a patio at grade and reviews the plan against the lot coverage limit for your zoning district. On a Weathersfield lot with a widened driveway that limit arrives sooner than people expect. Near Salt Creek on the east side the water table needs a properly compacted base.
Questions
Will a big patio put my Schaumburg lot over its coverage limit?
It can, especially on a Weathersfield lot where the driveway has already been widened. The village reviews the whole lot, not the patio alone. We measure existing hard surfaces at the estimate and size the design to clear review.
Stamped or broom finish for a Schaumburg patio?
Broom is cheaper and easier to re-seal. Stamped looks like cut stone and costs more per square foot, and it needs re-sealing every two to three years to hold its color.
How long before I can put furniture on a new patio?
Walk on it after 24 hours and set furniture on it after 7 days. Wait 28 days before a hot tub, a heavy fire table, or sealing.
