Epoxy flooring is a resin coating system, not paint. It is applied in layers over a mechanically prepared slab and fuses to the concrete rather than sitting on top of it. That difference is why a properly installed floor lasts a decade or more and a hardware-store kit peels in a season.
We install four systems: solid color, full flake, metallic, and fast-cure polyaspartic. Which room you are coating changes the system, so this page splits into Epoxy Garage Floors for hot tires and salt, and Epoxy Basement Floors for below-grade moisture.

Epoxy Flooring questions
What is the difference between epoxy and polyaspartic?
Epoxy is the thick body coat that bonds to the concrete. Polyaspartic is a fast-cure topcoat that resists ultraviolet yellowing. Most of our systems use both.
How much does an epoxy floor cost?
Solid color is the least expensive system, full flake sits above it, and metallic costs the most. Floor area and how much grinding and patching the slab needs finish the number.
Why do big-box epoxy kits peel?
Almost always because the slab was acid-etched instead of ground. Etching cannot open a hard-troweled surface enough for resin to key in. We grind every floor.
Can epoxy go over a slab with moisture in it?
Not without testing first. We test every slab and switch to a moisture-mitigating primer above 3 pounds per 1,000 square feet per 24 hours.
