A concrete driveway is the most durable surface you can put in front of a house in northern Illinois. Poured on a compacted stone base with reinforcement and properly spaced joints, it shrugs off plows, road salt and forty freeze-thaw cycles a winter.
Thickness follows the load: four inches for cars, five or six with rebar for an RV, dually or work truck, plus a thickened edge at the apron. Finish is your call at the estimate, broom, stamped, colored or exposed aggregate. We cut control joints within twelve hours so cracks land in the lines instead of across the slab.

Driveways questions
How much does a concrete driveway cost in the Chicago suburbs?
It depends on the size of the drive, whether the old slab comes out, the thickness needed, and the finish. We measure on site and give you a free written price.
How soon can I drive on a new concrete driveway?
Walk on it after 24 hours and park a car after 7 days. Wait 28 days before heavy trucks or sealing.
Do I need a permit for a driveway in Illinois?
Nearly every village we serve requires one for replacement or widening. We file it and meet the inspector on site.
Concrete or asphalt for a driveway?
Concrete costs more up front but lasts roughly twice as long and needs less maintenance. Asphalt is cheaper initially but wants sealing every two to three years.
