Curb does two jobs on a commercial site: it steers water and it stops vehicles. Both fail quietly, and by the time a property manager calls, the symptom is usually ponding in a drive aisle or a landscape island that trucks have been driving over for a year.
Drainage is the one to get right, because a gutter pan has to fall continuously in the right direction. A curb poured to a level string instead of to the drainage grade creates a birdbath that holds water, freezes, and breaks up the asphalt beside it within two winters.

How much does concrete curbing cost per foot?
Machine-extruded curb on a sound base is the least expensive, and formed curb and gutter with the old curb removed costs more. We measure the run and quote it in writing, free.
Barrier curb or curb and gutter?
Barrier curb is a vertical face used around islands and buildings. Curb and gutter adds a flat pan that carries water to the inlet. If drainage is the reason, you want gutter.
Can you replace just the broken section?
Yes, and it usually makes sense. We saw cut back to sound curb, dowel into the existing ends so the new section does not separate, and match the profile and height.
What is extruded curb?
Curb formed on site by a machine that extrudes a continuous stiff-mix profile with no forms. It goes in far faster and suits islands and lot edges without a gutter pan.
